Getting skunked was not part of my plan.

Honestly, I'm so far from the plan I can't even remember what was on it, other than stop my grandmother from selling the family company and try not to get in a fistfight with a pack of billionaires.

But when the curvy as hell waitress falls face-first into my lap, grabs my prosthetic to crawl out, tells me it's cool, and offers to buy me dinner, I say yes before she's even off the floor.

The hair, the ass, that gorgeous smile. Macy's the whole package. She's everything I never knew I wanted.

Too bad she's already decided I'm one more guy passing through. She's not wrong. I've never stayed anywhere.

I've spent my whole life running toward the next thing, but for the first time, I don't want to go.

I've jumped off cliffs. I've finished races most guys wouldn't start with two good legs. Staying put for a woman who's sure I'll leave is the scariest thing I've ever done.
